Celite Adsorbent Filter Aid
Adsorption occurs when an impurity is physically taken onto the surface of the filter aid particle. The impurity is than removed from the liquid system when the particle is filtered out of the solution.
- Celite AF-11 is a process treated diatomite filter aid that does not exhibit flocculation in organic liquids and therefore provides higher filtration efficiencies.
- Celkate T-21 is a synthetic Magnesium Silicate that exhibits certain adsorptive properties making it an excellent material for the decolorization of various liquids, such as animal and vegetable oils, and fats. Additional applications include deodorization, flavor improvement and adsorption of undesirable colloidal impurities.
- Micro-cel T-49 is a synthetic Calcium Silicate adsorbent filter aid that has the ability to remove various organic and inorganic acids from a variety of liquid systems including animal and vegetable oils, solvents, organic chemicals and plasticizers.
- Silasorb is a synthetic Calcium Silicate adsorbent filter aid that performs well as an efficient filter aid while removing Free Fatty Acids (F.F.A.) from edible cooking oils.
